Toronto graffiti takes aggressive stance on very Canadian issue

Oh Canada… you’re so cute when you’re angry.

In a country known for its politeness, even public acts of aggression like graffiti can take on an adorable, wholesome quality.

This latest example of ultra-Canadian defacement expression of free speech comes straight from the streets of Toronto (Roncesvalles to be exact) and offers a somewhat divisive opinion on a national treasure.

The image, captured by Parkdale photographer and business owner Marc Winer of Unsanctioned vintage and retro shop, was posted to Facebook group Weird Toronto where it garnered playful accusations of blasphemy, hate speech, and some bold statements about the inferior quality of poutine in Toronto.

Joking aside though, this might actually count as treason… Darn this person.
