The best food events happening in Calgary on Canada Day

We can’t believe it, but Canada Day is just around the corner.

And what better way to celebrate your national pride on Sunday, July 1 than to eat and drink to your heart’s content on our beloved country’s birthday?

While there will be awesome parties, parades, and firework displays all around town, loads of restaurants will also stay open to offer some awesome Canada Day food specials and just amazing culinary events in general.

Hudsons Pub

As we march into the 151sth year of this beautiful country, Hudsons is saying farewell to 150 years with $1.5 beers every Friday and Saturday in June, from 9 pm to close. On Canada Day, the pub will also have half-off drinks in celebration of Canada’s birthday.

Canada Day Celebration in Chinatown

Calgary’s Chinatown is hosting an all-day celebration for Canada’s birthday and decades of Chinese contributions to this great country. You can expect a variety of delicious Asian eats, instead of a traditional barbecue dinner. There will also be cultural performances and family-friendly activities like Kung Fu and Chinese musicals.

Heritage Park Canada Day

There is no better place to celebrate Canada’s 151st birthday than Heritage Park Historical Village. Canadian Lumberjack Party at the King Eddy

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada Day Celebration

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at AMJ Calgary Chapter has been organizing Canada Day celebrations since 2006. The chapter aims to promote national pride and community spirit. There will be a free barbecue and fun activities for children, and around 7,000 Calgarians show up each year.
