The Calgary Flames have signed 2012 first round draft pick Mark Jankowski to an entry-level contract.

The 21-year-old centre will report to the AHL’s Stockton Heat on an amateur tryout agreement, as his NHL contract will kick-in next season.

Jankowski has put up four productive seasons with Providence College in the NCAA since being drafted 21st overall by the Flames in 2012.

The 6’4″, 205-pound centre from St. Catharines, Ontario has put up 110 points (43-67-110) in 148-career games in college. His senior season just completed was his most successful, as he led his team in goals (15), assists (25), and points (40).
