Filmmakers are known for their cool ideas, but bringing them to life presents an entirely different challenge.

STORYHIVE by Telus is dedicated to supporting these emerging filmmakers in BC and Alberta through funding, training, and connection to an already thriving community.

They’re currently open to pitches for Digital Shorts: Female Director Edition, which closes on September 12, 2016. Creators who submit pitches will have the chance to win one of 30 $10,000 grants for to turn their pilot into a short film of 10 minutes or less. This edition is open to all creators in BC and Alberta to pitch and participate in the production of these digital shorts, but they’re specifically on the hunt for female directors.

Creators need to attach a female director to their project, who must assemble a team and prepare a pitch to submit before September 12.
