Join the National Music Centre (NMC) for a new cross-cultural concert series, kicking off with an all-day music festival at Studio Bell on January 25. In this first edition of Crossroads, NMC will explore the Jewish-Canadian experience through music. Visitors can enjoy free youth-focused performances and education workshops with Persian santur player Amir Amiri and Juno-nominated performer Carl Berger.
On-site entertainment includes:
- Buskers from Jewish-Canadian community in Canada Music Square at 10 am and 12 pm
- Music for Munchkins with Carl Berger—an epic hour of silly songs, rhymes and traditional children’s songs—in Performance Hall at 11 am
- Amir Amiri & Friends Concert in Performance Hall at 1 pm
Daytime programs are free thanks to support from Sam & Ida Switzer, Jenny Belzberg and The Alvin & Mona Libin Foundation.
Special thanks to the Calgary Jewish Federation for their support.
After NMC's free daytime event, enjoy a ticketed evening program with Jens Lindemann and Gilad Dobrecky. More info at studiobell.ca/whats-on.
