The two people shot dead in Calgary last Friday have been identified by the Calgary Police Service.

The two were found in a vehicle on Evanscrest Manor NW at around 3:10 pm by police responding to reports of gunshots in the area.

On Sunday, April 22, members of the Calgary Police Service took a person of interest into custody, though have they since been released without charges.

The news release also stated that police believe the double homicide to have been a targeted attack.
