Portion of downtown Calgary hit by power outage

A portion of downtown Calgary is currently experiencing a power outage.

The outage started around 11:18 am, according to Enmax.ca, and appears to be affecting those along 17th Avenue from at least 8th Street to 14th Street, and those as far north as 10th Avenue.

Enmax is currently investigating the cause of the outage, and estimate the return of power to be at 1:18 pm today.

“A power restoration team is currently in the area and is working to restore your power,” the website states.

11,794 people are currently impacted by the loss of power.
