Trump reportedly isn't happy about coming to Canada tomorrow

US president Donald Trump is scheduled to come to Canada tomorrow to participate in the G7 summit.

The visit will be Trump’s first official visit to Canada as president.

And according to a report from the Washington Post, it’s not something he’s particularly looking forward to.

The paper says that Trump has been complaining that the two-day trip to Canada for the meeting with other world leaders is “a distraction” from his upcoming summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.

To no one’s surprise, Trump tweeted his dissatisfaction on Thursday, calling the whole thing “ironic.”

Trump’s concerns are said to be based on the fact that other leaders who are attending the summit disagree with him on key issues and he “does not want to be lectured by them.”

It’s also no secret that the US and Canada haven’t exactly been getting along as of late – particularly on the issue of trade and tariffs.

To add fuel to the fire, Trump reportedly asked Trudeau about Canada burning down the White House to justify his reasoning for viewing Canada as a security threat (for reference, that was the war of 1812, and it was British troops).

Trump’s attitude towards the international summit is already causing some reaction online.
