The carnival is coming back to Calgary for a show this fall

We all know that Calgary is famous for its rodeo, but have you ever been to its carnival?

Circle: The Travelling Food, Beer and Music Carnival is on its way back to Calgary for a day of excitement, enjoyment, and entertainment this September.

A BassBus creation — partnered up with YYCFoodTrucks and Village Brewery, no less — the carnival promises to host multiple local and international musical performances, a bingo dome, over 14 food trucks, live circus performances, a 30,000 ball ball-pit (yes, adults are allowed in), and a site-wide liquor license.

The release from Circle describes the event as “music festival meets carnival,” and for good reason, as performances will range from rock bands to DJs on multiple stages throughout the venue.

There will even be a Fast n’ Furriest Weiner Dog Race that will pit pups against one another in a footrace to take home the coveted Button Cup.

There will also be a Best Dressed contest, so you’d better believe that there will be dogs running around in adorable costumes.

The carnival will run from 11 am to 11 pm on Saturday, September 8 at Shaw Millennium Park, and tickets are currently going for $35.

Kids aged 4 to 14 can get in for free by using the promo code CARNIVALKIDS at the check-out, though only for a limited time — after those discounted tickets run out, kids will have to cough up $5 for admission.

Anyone aged three and younger gets in for free, though will not get to enjoy the beer garden.
