Six people charged with drug trafficking after two-day CPS operation

A two-day long operation has resulted in the arrest of six people.

The joint operation between District 2 Patrol Members and the Strategic Enforcement Unit, focused on Calgary’s Westbrook area, following increased reports of drug trafficking, assaults, and social disorder.

From Tuesday, March 6 to Wednesday, March 7, officers in the area arrested and charged six people with a total of 14 charges ranging from trafficking and processing methamphetamine to possession of proceeds of a crime.

The six accused are 38-year-old Darcy Lightfoot, 38-year-old Robert Danails, 23-year-old Tyleena Dixon, 30-year-old Alexander Wager, 37-year-old Jasper Dixon, and 47-year-old Vanessa Bearhat.

The CPS is also working with local businesses and social agencies in the area to help curb the illegal activity.
