Celeb chef Roger Mooking launches new restaurant at TELUS Spark
Calgary’s science spot, TELUS Spark, has recently revamped their culinary program, and now when you’re exploring the universe you can take a break for some brain food at Social Eatery, the new restaurant from celeb chef Roger Mooking.
The Toronto-based Mooking, known for his Food Network and Cooking Channel shows, is behind the “home cooking with a global twist” concept at Social Eatery.

The menu includes made-to-order eats like cheese buns, a kale Caesar salad, a fried chicken sandwich, fresh smoothies, braised Spolumbo’s sausage, spelt pasta linguini with marinara, Jamaican patties, vegetarian chili, a tuna melt, and an “Egg Mook Muffin.”
There are lots of sides, snacks, and sweets, with plenty for Spark explorers of all ages and palates to enjoy (plus Mooking’s quirky pricing structure, which has all items priced with .88 cents).
Mooking’s food may already be familiar to those who travel to or through Toronto; he’s got a spot in YYZ called Twist.
