Carnival Cocktails for Cancer 2017 brings top culinary and cocktail talent

May 27 2017, 6:42 am

The third annual Carnival Cocktails for Cancer is happening this weekend on Sunday, May 28.

The fundraising event will once again take place at Hotel Arts, with the space being transformed into a big-top spectacle.

Chefs and bartenders will serve carnival inspired cocktails and dishes while participants enjoy midway games and activities.

Carnival Cocktails for Cancer was created by Jesse Willis, as a way to pay tribute to the memory of his stepmother-in-law, Jennifer Gardiner who lost her courageous battle with cancer in February of 2014.

“She really captivated people. Her personality was so big, so glowing,” said Willis in a release. “She inspired people to live life in the moment.“

All of the proceeds from this event go towards the Canadian Cancer Society.
