Even with all eyes drawn to South Korea’s Pyeongchang for the 2018 Winter Olympics, there are still a few sights closer to home that are putting on quite the spectacle of their own.

Only three Canadian cities have played host to the biggest sporting event in the world, with Montreal hosting the Winter Games in 1976, Calgary in 1988, and Vancouver in 2010.

Each city created beautiful venues to house these feats of athleticism, and many of these buildings, monuments, and structures are still standing today.

During the remarkable medal run Canada has been on in the 2018 games (with medals more expected to come), each of these cities has lit up their own Olympic flames in salute.
