Well, it was a nice fall while it lasted.

Alberta is about to see the coldest airs of the season, according to an update on Tuesday from The Weather Network.

Temperatures are expected to drop 10 to 15°C below normal, and Alberta’s Rocky Mountain areas will see up to 50 cm of snow over the next few days. Elsewhere in the province will see 12 to 25 cm of snow.

Snowfall is expected to start in Calgary around noon on Wednesday and not let up until the weekend, though the city should see only light flurries Wednesday evening and a light snowfall in the following days.

Wednesday evening will be a cool -4°C, but will feel like -9°C due to the 23 km/hour wind gust.
