Ring in the New year with some snow tonight

Snowfall, with total amounts of 5 cm is expected to come down in Calgary tonight.

Snowfall will start this afternoon and continue into the night.

Heading into the night, wind will be blowing north 20 to 40 kilometres near midnight with the temperature dropping to minus 12.

New Years Day will be a white one with snowfall ending in the afternoon.

Environment Canada says to monitor alerts and forecasts issued and to report severe weather by email to [email protected] or to tweet reports to #ABStorm.
