Looking to try something new? Discover Turkey without leaving Calgary at the 8th annual Turkish festival happening in Eau Claire from July 17 to 19. Immerse yourself in Turkish tradition with calligraphy, henna tattoo, live music, folk dance and of course delicious traditional food.

The festival allows visitors to check out some Turkish products, souvenirs and handcrafts. Previous events included the world famous Turkish Donair served to over 4, 000 people and traditional dancing on the stage.

This event brings the Turkish tradition to Calgary and show cases the cultural heritage while giving visitors samples of fine cuisine from kabobs to pastries. Visitors are encouraged to bring friends, family and even neighbors. In addition to great food and dancing this year’s Festival will feature traditional Turkish crafts like paper marbling and carpet weaving.

So don’t miss this event and come experience Turkey for the weekend.
