Calgary is about to see the grand opening of its first ever Arc'teryx store

Free merch, anyone?

The outdoor clothing brand and retailer Arc’teryx has opened its seventh retail location right here in Calgary.

The North Vancouver-based company had previously opened up shop in Edmonton, though the new store, located at #150 815 17th Avenue SW, will be the brand’s first store in YYC.

Calgarians have been able to check out what’s in stock since the store’s soft opening on May 25, though the grand opening won’t be until Saturday, June 9.

According to a release from Arc’teryx, the first 50 people through the doors at 10 am that day will receive free gift bags, and if their merch is anything close to the quality of their regular products, we’re sure that it will be worth the wait.

The store will be quite the sight to see, according to the release.

“This retail space is both a design and experience evolution for Arc’teryx as it doubles as a community hub and provides consumers opportunities to learn more about the technical aspects or our gear,” said Julia Brunzell, the retail design and brand experience manager at Arc’teryx.

“Our team has created a bright, modern, and unique addition to this lively street.”

The retail space encompasses a total of 2,395 sq. ft. right on Calgary’s 17th Avenue, so it’ll be hard to miss the next time you take a stroll down 17th.
