Backyard skating enthusiasts rejoice!

For those who love skating on outdoor rinks, but dislike the typically rough surface that goes along with it, one Calgary man seems to have found a solution.

Chris Yenna has created a machine that “turns your rough outdoor ice into a surface as smooth glass,” according to his Facebook page PortaIce.

“He has 15+ years of ice maintenance experience and has installed and maintained portable ice rinks in over 40 countries and 5 continents worldwide. This unique rink service is ideal for outdoor community and back yard rinks as well as events and tournaments.”

Sounds pretty cool to us, but don’t take our word for it. Check out the video and see for yourself.
