Calgary was hit hard by harsh winds and snow on November 16

It’s probably an understatement to say that it was a windy one in YYC on Thursday night.

An Environment Canada wind warning was put into place on Thursday afternoon, alerting Calgarians that a cold front would be bringing gusts of up to 90 km/h through the city.

The system battered Calgary throughout the night, keeping many residents up with the noise and potential danger at hand.

Calgarians awoke Friday morning to a snow-covered city, and can expect temperatures to plunge to as low as -14°C on Friday night.
