It’s nearly time to start daydreaming about the summer sunshine, long days, beautiful sunsets, and, of course, weekend festivals.
One of Calgary’s favourite July events is the four-day long Calgary Folk Music Festival, running from Thursday, July 26 to Sunday, July 29, and the full line-up has recently been announced by organizers.
Notably performers include A Tribe Called Red, Hannah Epperson, Bahamas, and Passenger, with over 60 other acts joining in on the music at the festival’s various stages.
An evening schedule has also been released, so you can spend the next few months deciding which stages you’ll be at, and the full daytime schedules will be released in mid-June.
Tickets are currently on sale for either single day admission or full weekend passes, with single day tickets going for $60 to $80 per person, and full weekend passes being available for as little as $180.
The cost goes up to $225 per weekend pass if you’d like to purchase the Flex Ticket, which allows others to use your pass on days that you may not be able to attend.
A total of 68 performers will be in Calgary for the Folk Fest, and we’ve put together a full list for you to check for some of your favourite bands and musicians:
