Royal Canadian Family Circus Spectac! 2017

  • What: Bring the whole family and see a total of 8 spectacular shows under the magnificent Big Top, from Argentinian High Wire, a Hula Hoop Maze to an Aerial Moter Cycle Cyclone and more!

FunnyFest – Calgary Comedy Festival

  • What: Get ready to laugh until you cry, at the 17th annual Calgary Comedy Festival! It features, 11 days, 9 venues, 70 performers, 11 themes and over 11,000 punch lines that will put a smile on even the grumpiest of humans. This is a great way to switch up date night or to have a FUNny night out with friends!

The 29th Annual Lilac Festival

  • What: It’s that time of year again where 4th street is overcome by one of Calgary’s largest and more adored street festivals! Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to discover great new bands, shop the large variety of artists and makers, and munch on some delectable bites from some of the best food trucks and venues in YYC. Immerse yourself completely into Calgary’s arts and culture scene while you experience the best of what this city has to offer!

The SUNCOR Stage One Festival of New Work

  • What: Come celebrate the 30 anniversary of the SUNCOR Stage 1 this June! Lunchbox Theatre has created hundreds on new Canadian one-act plays throughout the years so to celebrate this achievement, along with their 30-year partnership with Suncor, they have created s series of performances for you to enjoy for FREE over the span of the festival.

Calgary Ukrainian Festival

  • What: Celebrate the rich and unique heritage of the Ukraine culture at this fun 2-day event. Enjoy the variety of stage shows highlighting local talent, satisfy your taste buds with some delicious eats and traditional Ukrainian beverages and shop till you drop at the marketplace.

Panel One Comic Creator Festival

  • What: This is a fun filled event that will allow patrons to meet and discover creators, participate in workshops and hear captivating panels throughout the day, while celebrating local comic creators!
  • Where: 1320 5 Avenue SW
  • When: June 3
  • Cost: Adults- $5, Children Under 12 are free

Kensington Foodie Festival

  • What: Tantalize your taste buds at the 1st annual Kensington Foodie Festival. There will be a variety of food-related events happening at different bars and restaurants throughout the neighborhood, between June 7 – 11. Be sure to check it out!

Bridgeland Cultural Fest

  • What: Check out the 3rd annual Bridgeland Cultural Fest and celebrate the diverse culture and character that the area has to offer. Through music, food and merchandise this 1-day event is aimed at bringing the community together and supporting the neighborhood.

Sled Island 2017

  • What: Western Canada’s largest music and arts festival, Sled Island, is back for another year and the line-up surely won’t disappoint. This local 5-day music and art show, brings brands, comedians, filmmakers, artists and fans together from across the world to create one large community! Check out the various locations for different performances and shows happening throughout the week!

1st Annual Alberta Oyster Festival

  • What: Think you’re the fastest shucker in Alberta? Compete in the Expert Shucking Competition to win a trip to Toronto to compete in the Ontario Oyster Festival.

  • Cost: $25 – includes 2 drink tickets and 1 food ticket

Otafest – Calgary’s Premier Anime Festival

  • What: Anime fans rejoice! You will have the opportunity to participate in video game tournaments, Pokémon League, and casual and competitive cosplay while attending anime viewings, musical concerts, comedy improve, a maid café and a ton of community-driven educational events. In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday, there will be fireworks and a DJ on the Marriot patio. Enjoy!
