Banff and Lake Louise: Snow Days

  • What: Winter is more than just cold and snowy, as it is a season that brings magically frosty views, fun activities, and beautiful memories for all ages. Banff National Park invites us all to celebrate the magic of winter in its month long festival of Snowdays, featuring a variety of events, shows, and activities that combine history, culture, and winter traditions that the whole family will enjoy. Ice Magic Festival 

  • What: Lake Louise’s Ice Magic Festival is a truly magical and unreal experience that Canadian’s look forward to year round. This event boasts over 20 years of history and gathers talented ice artists from around the world to compete and create artistic masterpieces out of ice, all within 34 hours. During this time you can watch the process in action and see the detailed sculptures unfold, while you get the unique opportunity to talk to the carvers, asking them questions, and vote for your favourite masterpiece. If you miss the action you can still view the sculptures the following weekend and even get the chance to try your hand at some ice carving yourself!

Cats and Yoga

  • What: There is truly no better combination! Get a relaxing yoga sesh in among the kittens at the Regal Cat Cafe and end the session with a complimentary loose-leaf tea or brewed coffee. Attendees are asked to bring their own yoga mat and show up in appropriate attire. This is an 18+ event.

Barre Body Studio: Year of Living Well 

  • What: Barre Body Studio is turning five and they are inviting you to celebrate this milestone with them! Mix and mingle with fellow barre mates, have your tarot cards read, relax with a quick massage, or build your own terrarium to bring home and adorn your house with. It’s going to be a night packed with a whole lot of fun that will leave you feeling inspired to live life well.

Canada’s National Women’s Hockey Team vs AMHL

  • What: In the effort to promote grassroots hockey and support the minor hockey league, Canada’s National Women’s Team will be playing 24 games agains the AMHL. Come see them on their road to PyeongChang where they will hopefully bring home their fifth Gold Medal in the Winter Olympic Games.
