Breathtaking drone footage showcases the beauty of BC and Alberta (VIDEO)
Sometimes, we need to take a second to remember just how beautiful Canada is.
This video by cinematographer Ian McAlpine reminds us of our nation’s natural wonders with stunning 4k drone footage of national parks in Alberta and BC.
“The opening shots of the ocean and the ending shot, those were taken just outside of Vancouver on the Sea To Sky Highway towards Whistler,” McAlpine told Daily Hive via email.
“The rest of the footage is mainly taken off the road on the way from Banff to Jasper, Alberta.”
If this doesn’t inspire you to hop in your car and embark on an epic summer road trip across the two provinces, we aren’t sure what will.
McAlpine says that when he went on his trip, he was not aware that you are supposed to request permission before flying in national parks. However, he advises anyone wanting drone footage to contact officials before doing so.
