The 11th annual Bike to Work Day is coming up in Calgary. The event celebrates and promotes cycling as a healthy mode of transportation that is efficient, low-cost and socially responsible.

The organization’s mission is to encourage people working in the downtown core, and surrounding neighbourhoods, to try biking to work, and eventually cycling to work all season long.

There will be ten different bike pit stops along the bike route for participants to stop at and receive bike tune-ups and free giveaways.

Bike to Work Day Calgary will start in Eau Claire Market with a free pancake breakfast, live music and an opportunity for vendors to promote their business.

Only 37 days until #biketoworkday! Who’s getting excited?! #yyc #calgary #GetMovingYYC #cycling #volunteer #biking #canada
