Nothing beats a deal on delicious food. Whether you’re craving samosas, tacos, sandwiches or pizza we’ve got a list of places that will give your wallet and taste buds a bang for ten bucks or less.

Here are ten cheap eats under $10 to try this summer.

1. Pizza by the slice from Sidewalk Citizen $3.50

Coming fresh out of the oven at 11:30 am with a different veggie and meat option served up daily, you’ll give yourself a budget friendly reason to have pizza every day. This doughy ‘za is always topped with a variety of fresh market ingredients like crimini mushrooms, eggplant, and yams. They take it to the next level by using sauces like harissa, tahini, and smoked paprika aioli with fine cheeses like Monterey jack, gruyere, and emmental and mouthwatering meats such as smoked duck breast, chorizo, or pulled pork to top it all off. Served by the slice at their 10th Street location.

2. Banh mi from More Than Subs Viet Kitchen $6.50

They say they’re more than subs (their crispy spring rolls are irresistible) but their fresh banh mi flavours are what you need to go there for. Choose from vegetarian, cold cut, beef, chicken, or shrimp sate, or get the special sub with all three sate proteins packed in a crusty baguette with pickled carrots, cucumber, onions, drizzled in Asian BBQ sauce and garnished with fresh cilantro.

3. Recession Buster Burger from Regrub $7

This 4 oz. beef burger is dripping in melted cheddar cheese and spicy dirty ketchup with lettuce and tomato.

4. Street tacos from The Street Eatery $7.85

Get a kick in each bite with this Korean inspired taco twisted Gochujang shrimp that’s coated in a sweet and spicy red chili paste topped with kimchi apple slaw and fresh guacamole. Another option is the pork belly tacos topped with fresh flavours like pickled cucumber, mint leaves, chili lime aioli, and guac. Two tacos are served per order.

5. Savoury pies from Pie Junkie $8

With eight different flavours to try, these mini-pies are packed with layers of flavour. The flaky pastry is filled with slow-simmered, seasoned and tender meats with flavours like Jamaican hand pie, Aussie beef, steak and mushroom, and butter chicken. Veggie options include cheese and onion along with a vibrant tomato tart.

6. Grilled cheese from Cleaver $8

Oozing with gruyere cheese this thick cut buttery toast is stacked on top of a shot glass filled with a roasted tomato gazpacho dip. With a leaf of kale inside, you’ll also be getting your greens in.

7. Buffalo chicken poutine from Naina’s Kitchen $8.95

With layers of sauciness, these fries hoist up tangy buffalo sauce coated chicken, cheese curds, and rich gravy that’s topped with a creamy ranch sauce and scallions.

8. Burrito from The Spicy Amigos $9

This burrito is loaded and requires the strength of two hands as it feels as heavy as a newborn. With nine meat options to select from including house-made chorizo, beef tongue, adobo pork, and chicken fajita to name a few. It is stuffed with your choice of meat, rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro, and house sauce.

Indulge in all-you-can-eat flaky croissants, buttery biscuits, muffins, and decadent cake while supporting MealShare at the same time. No- you don’t have to pinch yourself just remember to wear your stretchy pants. Offered on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.

10. Samosas from The Samosa Factory $10
