Apple Maps now includes Calgary public transit

If you thought parking and driving around Calgary last week was a stampede, going forward there’s an easier to get around town through your iPhone.

Apple Maps has recently expanded its info to include public transit data for Calgary Transit.

For major events around the city, or simply to get from home to work or school, you can now rely on iPhone and Apple Maps to plan the next trip, view schedules, and get step-by-step directions to catch the bus or CTrain and go places.

When opening the Apple Maps app, signs on screens look the same as the ones on the street and finding things like exactly where the nearest subway station entrance. You can also call on Siri to serve as a personal guide to get from YYC to the Saddledome, for example. And to make frequently traveled locations easy to navigate, you can ‘favourite’ a specific transit line to get up-to-date information and reminders about its routes and schedules.

Calgary joins Montreal, Toronto, Windsor, Vancouver and Victoria as Canadian cities with public transit included in Apple Maps.
