There's a big oyster festival happening in Calgary this month
The Alberta Oyster Festival is returning for its second annual celebration of all things shucking.
The bash in support of Meal Share and Oceanwise will feature a shucking competition along with good eats and drinks.

Admission is just $25 and includes two drink tickets and one food ticket. Attendees will be able to purchase more food and beverage tickets for $5 at the festival.
The winner of the shucking competition will get the bragging rights, a trophy, and a grand prize trip to Canadian Oyster Shucking Championship in Tyne Valley, PEI.
This competition is open to the public, even if you’re not an experienced shucker you can enter an amateur round just for fun (just email [email protected] to register).
