Alberta government wants your say on cannabis legalization (SURVEY)

Albertans are invited to participate in an online survey to provide feedback on how the province will adapt to cannabis legalization.

With the federal government aiming to legalize cannabis by July 2018, the provinces have a role in determining how cannabis will be distributed and consumed.

The 30 minute online survey will run until July 31, 2017 and is broken into six main points of interest.

• Alberta’s cannabis goals
• purchasing cannabis
• using cannabis in public
• setting the legal age
• protecting roads and workplaces
• economic implications and opportunities

You can choose to fill out one, or all six surveys – based on your interest of the subject. Each segment takes around five minutes to complete.

“I encourage everyone to share their views on this issue as we develop a Cannabis Framework that works for our province. Feedback from Albertans is an important part of the process,” said Alberta’s Minister of Justice and Solicitor General, Kathleen Ganley. “Our priorities are to keep profits away from criminals, keep cannabis out of the hands of children and protect Alberta’s roads and workplaces.”
