Video shows Air Canada’s near catastrophic landing at San Francisco airport
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released a video of Air Canada’s near-miss overflight of a taxiway at San Francisco International Airport.
The incident, which took place on July 7, 2017, is part of an ongoing investigation.
According to the NTSB, Air Canada flight 759, an Airbus A-320, was cleared to land on a runway (28R), but the plane lined up on a parallel taxiway, which had four airplanes on it awaiting takeoff clearance.

The Air Canada flight, which was flying from Toronto’s Pearson Airport, descended below 100 feet above the ground and initiated a go-around after overflying the first airplane on the taxiway.
No injuries were reported after the incident.
NTSB says it is continuing its investigation, which generally take 12 to 18 months to complete.
