Remember as kid when you would be slip-n-sliding on water slides in the summer? Now as an adult you have the chance to relive your childhood and do it bigger and wetter. Slide the City is bringing their 1000 foot water slide to Calgary this August.

The Slide the City attraction, is coming to 10th Street NW in Calgary on August 1 and 2. i

The water used on the slip-and-slide will be treated with chlorine and recirculated throughout the day using pumps and hoses from the bottom of the slide to the top of the slide.

The slide itself has inflated edges to keep participants inside the tubes as well as a one-inch thick polyethylene foam cushion underneath the slipping surface to ensure the ride downhill is smooth and comfortable.

Registration to go down the giant water slide is now over and the event is officially sold out. However, you can still go in and take in all the action and watch Calgarians slide down.
