CAMP Festival

  • What: Celebrates creative technology, art and design by bringing professionals, students and artists to share and shape experiences.
  • Where: Theatre Junction Grand – 608 1 St. SW, Calgary
  • When: Monday, September 21 to Tuesday, September 22
  • Cost: $199 to $299 for registration

Calgary Flames: preseason games

  • What: Calgary Flames face the Edmonton Oilers on Monday. On Friday the Calgary Flames face the Vancouver Canucks.
  • Where: Scotiabank Saddledome – 555 Saddledome Rise SE, Calgary
  • When: Monday, September 21 at 7 p.m. and Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m.
  • Cost: Varies

Calgary International Film Festival

  • What: A 12 day showcase of 200 multi-genre films from Canada and over 40 other countries. The evening will host gala events, screening, award ceremonies and more.
  • Where: 207, 214 11 Ave S, Calgary
  • When: Wednesday, September 23 to Sunday, October 4
  • Cost: Varies

Heritage Inn International Balloon Festival

  • What: A host to 27 international balloons from Belgium, UK, USA and Canada. The balloons will compete by navigating from one place to the next. The event will also feature Night Glow where the balloons will be lit up for viewing.
  • Where: 1104 11 Ave SE, High River
  • When: Wednesday, September 23 to Sunday, September 27, 2015
  • Cost: Free

After Labour Day White Party

  • What: This event will have you dancing in your all white outfit to DJ Joe Swell. Proceeds go to supporting Pencils for Promise charity.
  • Where: Standard Modern Speakeasy and Social Club – 111 7 Ave SW, Calgary
  • When: Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m.
  • Cost: $25 in advance; $30 at the door

Balletlujah!

  • What: Watch the Alberta Ballet’s production about tracing a young woman who abandons her hometown for romance.
  • Where: Jubilee Auditorium – 1415 14 Ave NW, Calgary
  • When: Thursday, September 24 to Saturday, September 26
  • Cost: $29 to $116 for adult, $20 to $116 for child and $29 to $95 for students and seniors

Calgary Block Party

  • What: Culture Days kicks off their three-day calendar events with a family-friendly celebration featuring activities, music and arts.
  • Where: Olympic plaza and Stephen Avenue Walk
  • When: Friday, September 25 at 3:30 to 8 p.m.
  • Cost: Free

Culture Days

  • What: Is an annual Pan-Canadian movement to raise awareness, participation, and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life. There will be many free family events taking place over the three-day event, including rock concerts, dance demonstrations, historic exhibits, film screenings and more.
  • Where: Various
  • When: Friday, September 25 to  Sunday, September 27 at

Creative Stitches and Crafting Alive Calgary

  • What: Canada’s number one Sewing and Crafting events showcasing more than 60 classes like classes for sewing, scrapbooking, quilting, knitting, needlework, seminars, etc.
  • Where: Spruce Meadows – 18011 Spruce Meadows Way SW, Calgary
  • When: Friday, September 25 to Saturday, September 26
  • Cost: $12 for adult, $10 for student and senior, $2 for children (6 to 12) and free for children 6 and under

Torch Motorcycles: HandBuilt Motorcycle Exhibition

  • What: Torch Motorcycles will be showcasing motorcycle builds, mods, restorations, and franken-bikes from Calgary’s most compelling builder, riders and enthusiasts.
  • Where: Tigerstedt Block – 906 Centre St N, Calgary
